In Asterix and the Chieftain's Shield, too much eating and drinking has made Chief Vitalstatistix sick. Concerned for his well being, he is sent to a spa to get on a diet and lose weight.

Asterix and Obelix accompany him and cause ruckus with the Romans while playing tourists. To take revenge, Caesar wants to parade on the shield of Vercingetorix, a Gaulish hero and leader defeated years ago by Julius Caesar.

But where is the shield? The race is on between our heroes and the Romans to find the shield of Vercingetorix which is located in a most unexpected place.

Asterix at the Olympic Games

In Asterix at the Olympic Games, the Gaulish tribe is influcenced to participate in the Olympic games after watching a Roman soldier preparing for the games.

The male members of the village all go to Olympia knowing that they will surely win with the use of the magic potion.

Once the Greeks get wind of the magic potion, they consider it an artificial stimulant and ban it.

Asterix ends up being the only one participating in the Olympics. Does he even have a chance to win under this state of affairs?

Asterix and the Cauldron

In Asterix and the Cauldron, Whosemoralsarelastix, a dishnonest neighboring Gaulish Chief, asks Vitalstatistix, the Chief of the little Gaulish village to guard a cauldron filled with money in order to hide it from the Roman tax collector.

Vitalstatistix assigns this task to Asterix who is dumbfounded when the money is stolen while on his watch. Asterix is banished from the village for his carelessness until the debt is repaid. Bank robbery, chariot racing and theatrical contests are some of the tactics Asterix and Obelix use to fill the cauldron.

Asterix in Spain

Volume 14

In Asterix in Spain, we learn that there is a small village in Spain resisting the Roman occupation. To get them to surrender, Caesar has the Chief Huevos Y Bacon's son Pepe kidnapped and taken to Gaul where he escapes in the forest and runs in to our heroes who bring him to their village.

Pepe is a fierce and feisty little spoiled brat who holds his breath when he doesn't get his way, laughs at Obelix, starts fights, but adores and plays with Dogmatix who is Obelix's little dog. Fed up with this little tyrant, Asterix and Obelix journey to Spain to reunite Pepe with his family.

Asterix and the Roman Agent

In Asterix and the Roman Agent, tired of the pressure from his opponents regarding the unconquered Gaulish village, Caesar decides to try psychological warfare by sending a Roman agent to the village. Tortuous Convulvulus was born with the natural talent of causing conflicts everywhere and at all times.

Before too long, jealousy, slander and suspicion have infected the minds of the villagers. The numerous altercations cause Asterix, Obelix and Getafix to leave the village until they can solve the problem.

Asterix in Switzerland

In Asterix in Switzerland, Quaestor Vexatius Sinusitus, a Treasurer, is sent to Condatum (Rennes) by Caesar to investigate and audit the governor of Gaul known for his "creative" accounting. In turn, the governor has him poisened.

Getafix can prepare an antidote but he needs a special ingredient, a flower known as the Silver Star which blooms only in Helvetia. He sends Asterix and Obelix off to Switzerland to procure this flower.

The governor sends word to his equally crooked friend, the governor of Genava (Geneva) to do whatever it takes to stop our heroes.

Asterix and the Mansion of the Gods

In Asterix The Mansions of the Gods,another plan is concocted to infiltrate the small Gaulish village. This time a trendy Roman architect, Squareonthehypotenus, hires a multinational team of slaves to build a modern housing estate in the forest right outside the Gaulish village.

Will the Gauls be quick enough to stop the project before too many Roman tenants arrive or will they be tempted to make money from the new tenants?

Asterix and the Laurel Wreath

In Asterix and the Laurel Wreath, a drunk Vitalstatistix while on a visit to Lutetia, carelessly makes a bet with his arrogant and boastful brother-in-law Homeopathix, that he can capture Caesar's laurel wreath and make a dish out of it.

Asterix and Obelix are sent to Rome to honour their chief's bet. They'll try anything to get a hold of Caesar's laurel wreath including selling themselves as slaves.

Will they be able to save the honour of the village?

Asterix and the Soothsayer

In Asterix and the Soothsayer, an evil looking charracter arrives at the small Gaulish village on a tempestuous night claiming to be a clairvoyant. He foretells obvious truths and events which establishes him as a true soothsayer with the villagers.

Asterix is the only one who thinks Prolix is a charlatan. No one listens to him until Getafix the village druid gets back from a conference and together come up with a plan to try to get rid of him. Will they be able to get rid of this conniving character?

Asterix in Corsica

Volume 20

In Asterix in Corsica, By sheer coincidene, Asterix and friends encounter and free a Corsican leader from a Roman camp. In return he invites them to accompany him to Corsica to see how the Corsicans handle the Romans.

Asterix and Obelix join Boneywasawarriorwayix to Corsica where they meet his family. They help him foil the evil designs of the corrupt Roman Praetor Perfidius against Caesar who they believe must surely have Corsican blood running through his veins.
